PrayersWisdom is a Christian ministry, non-denominational in character. What we believe shapes every prayer guide we write. This statement summarizes the historic Christian faith as we hold it, drawn from Scripture alone.
The Bible
We believe the Bible — all sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments — is the inspired, infallible Word of God, our final authority in all matters of faith and life.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who created all things and who hears and answers the prayers of His people.
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” — Deuteronomy 6:4 (KJV)
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and we pray in His name alone.
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12 (KJV)
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells them, and guides them into truth. He helps us pray when we do not know what to pray.
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” — Romans 8:26 (KJV)
Salvation
We believe all people have sinned and fall short of God’s glory, and that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone — not by works. Every believer has direct access to the Father through Christ and may come boldly to the throne of grace in prayer.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)
Prayer
We believe prayer is God’s ordained means of communion with Him. He commands us to pray, He promises to hear prayers offered according to His will, and He answers in His wisdom and timing.
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.” — 1 John 5:14 (KJV)
The Church and the Future
We believe in the universal Church — all true believers in Christ across every nation and denomination — and in the local church as God’s design for worship, fellowship, and discipleship. This Site is a resource, not a church, and we urge every reader to belong to a faithful local congregation. We believe Christ will return bodily, the dead will be raised, and God will make all things new.
“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (KJV)
